Since the introduction of Residential College (RC) system as the first in Korea in 2007, Yonsei University Mirae Campus has continuously explored the possibilities of interdisciplinary education with a goal to foster global talents for the future. As the international community’s interest in the role of Korea is increasing and Korea’s international status in cultural and economic fields is raised, the need for fostering talents equipped with global competencies is being heightened. The Global Elite Division (GED), which was installed as the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies in 2016, provides education on English and Korean language according to the personal levels of international students, and provides intensive support to help them develop basic capabilities required for their majors. The Ministry of Semiconductor System Engineering trains talented people who will lead the semiconductor industry in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution and the AI era. It provides education that combines theory and practice, focusing on semiconductor technology and system design, and operates a flexible program so that practical and academic work can be carried out at the same time.

The educational goal of the Wonju College of Medicine is to foster competent talents who will contribute to medical development by researching and providing education on the profound theories and application methods of medicine based on the Christian spirit and democratic education, which are the founding philosophy of Yonsei University. With around 140 full-time professors performing research and educational activities, the Wonju College of Medicine provides a systematic and efficient education based on the early-stage clinical training through the Wonju Severance Christian Hospital, a teaching hospital.

Wonju Nursing College is the first four-year nursing education institution in Gangwon Province in 1994 and has opened and operated a nursing department in 1997 (RN-BSN) as the first four-year nursing education institution in Gangwon Province to produce competent professional nurses with the ability and qualities to contribute to the achievement of human society's health goals based on Yonsei University's founding philosophy of truth and freedom. From September 1, 2022, it has been promoted to Yonsei University's Wonju Nursing College and has become a nursing education institution worthy of Yonsei University's brand value.
